As of January 1, 2022, more than $200,000 has been received for water systems in Kenya and other projects close to Krista’s heart. FIFTEEN public schools and/or communities in the Mt. Kenya region are currently getting on site access to clean water! And TWO more will be getting clean water soon!
Krista’s Rainforest sanctuary: A conservation & Education Project

Krista would have been 22 on April 22nd (Earth Day). We asked friends & family to consider giving $22 by the 22nd to help her childhood dream to “save the rainforest”. $5,700 was raised in one week on Facebook. More than 1500 trees were planted in the Monteverde Cloud Forest in Costa Rica in mid June 2021! The Costa Rican director is naming the project “Krista’s Rainforest Sanctuary: A Conservation & Education Project.”
Krista’s Kam’yanka, Ukraine Project
Krista was looking for a job using her degree in Chemical Engineering to work in energy or water. She also mentioned in her journals a desire to buy airbnb properties around the world for hospitality, ministry and generate income. We felt this project was a perfect combination of all those passions! $5,000 from her memorial funds went to purchase and prepare this property for the installation of solar panels which will generate an average of $500/month of income over 10 years for ministry. Future plans are to tear down the current house and build a duplex that will house English school staff (one unit) and a second unit for visitors and an income generating airbnb. We are excited to see this project take shape and know Krista would approve!
